Ministry of Economic Affairs (MEA)
MEA carries out the functions of the previous Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economic Planning Unit).The Economic Planning Unit is the principal government agency responsible for the preparation of development plans for the nation. The unit was established in 1961 as the Economic Secretariat of the Economic Committee under the Executive Council of the then Federation of Malaysia. Its objective then was to “focus on development planning, on major problems in plan execution and on all forms of foreign aid.

Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI)
MITI is a ministry of the Government of Malaysia that is responsible for international trade, industry, investment, productivity, small and medium enterprise, development finance institution, halal industry, automotive, steel, strategic trade.

Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM)
JAKIM is a Malaysian government institution which has established Malaysia Halal logo and implemented Halal Certification System. Its vision is to be a credible halal certification services centre and is recognized nationally and internationally while its mission is to ensure that all products are certified halal, or the using of halal expression is pure and according to Islamic principles.

MATRADE was established in March 1993 as an external trade promotion arm of Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). MATRADE assist Malaysian companies to establish their presence overseas and raise their profiles in foreign markets through different promotional drives including participation in trade missions, specialized marketing missions and international trade fairs.

MATRADE also organizes business matching programmes for Malaysian companies and foreign importers. Being the national agency for trade promotion, MATRADE is often the first reference point for enquiries and visits by foreign importers

Established on 18 September 2006, Halal Industry Development Corporation coordinates the overall development of the Halal industry in Malaysia. Focusing on development of Halal standards, audit and certification, plus capacity building for Halal products and services, HDC promotes participation and facilitates growth of Malaysian companies in the global Halal market.

Certified Halal Malaysian Professionals (CHAMPS)
CHAMPS is a secretariat established under Majlis Halal Malaysia (MHM) to carry out activities and any forms of promotions for Majlis Halal Malaysia .
